General Preparation Before a Health Check-up

Preparation Recommendation
Fasting Do not eat or drink anything (except plain water) for 8–12 hours before the test. This helps ensure accurate results for blood sugar, cholesterol, and other measurements.
Water Intake You may drink plain water to stay hydrated. This can also make blood collection easier.
Avoid Alcohol Refrain from drinking alcohol for at least 24 hours before the test, as it can affect liver enzymes and lipid levels.
Avoid Strenuous Exercise Avoid heavy exercise for at least 24 hours before the test to prevent temporary changes in blood pressure and certain enzymes.
Adequate Rest Get 6–8 hours of sleep the night before your check-up for more accurate results.
Medication & Supplements Inform the staff about any medications or supplements you are currently taking, especially cholesterol-lowering drugs, diabetes medication, vitamins, or hormones.
Clothing Wear short-sleeved shirts or clothing with sleeves that can be rolled up easily for blood collection.
Pregnant Women Inform the staff if you are pregnant. Avoid X-ray examinations unless approved by your doctor.
